OCOYA ALTERNATIVE

An Ocoya alternative that finishes the posts.
Same price. Nothing to assemble.

Ocoya is a good workshop: an AI copywriter, an image generator, a design editor, hashtag collections, and Shopify and WooCommerce hooks, from $15/month. PostOtter is not a workshop, it is a social media manager: for $14.99 it writes, designs, schedules, and publishes 21 finished posts a week to Instagram, TikTok, and X without you assembling anything.

Ocoya and PostOtter land at almost exactly the same price, which makes the comparison unusually clean. What differs is what you're buying with the money: Ocoya sells you tools and a credit balance to spend on them, PostOtter sells you a finished week. If you like making posts, that's an argument for Ocoya. If your accounts have been quiet for two months, it probably isn't.

Where PostOtter differs

Finished posts, not credits

Ocoya's Bronze plan includes 100 credits a month, spent across AI text, AI images, and automation runs. PostOtter ships about 90 complete posts a month with nothing to meter.

Real short-form video

PostOtter generates genuine 9:16 motion video for Reels and TikTok four days a week. Ocoya's site and pricing page advertise AI copy, images, and design tools; we found no generated short-form video.

Nothing to open

Ocoya gives you a calendar and an editor to fill. PostOtter builds the week from your brand profile and publishes it, so a busy week doesn't become a quiet feed.

The caption is written for the platform

Short and punchy on X, story-led on Instagram, hook-first on TikTok — not one caption pasted to every channel from a single composer.

No credit top-ups

Ocoya's credits cover text generation, translation, rephrasing, image generation, background removal, and automation runs from one pool. PostOtter's week is fixed and doesn't run out on the 20th.

Where Ocoya wins: ecommerce and reach

Bronze covers 5 social profiles, and Shopify/WooCommerce integration can post automatically when you add a product. PostOtter does three platforms and no product feeds.

Nearly identical price, different product. Ocoya gives you more channels and a real design editor; PostOtter gives you a week that publishes itself. Rows where Ocoya leads are marked.

100 credits is the number to look at

Ocoya's Bronze plan is $15/month and includes 100 credits. By Ocoya's own definition, credits are a global usage unit spent on automation runs, AI text tools like generation, translation and rephrasing, and AI media tools like image generation and background removal.

That means a single finished post can draw on the balance more than once — a caption, then an image, then the automation that places it. Ninety posts a month is not a shape that fits inside a hundred credits, which is fine, because Bronze isn't sold as a content supply. It's sold as assistance while you do the work.

PostOtter has no credit concept at all. Twenty-one posts a week is the product, roughly 8 of them video and 13 images, and it arrives on the same schedule in a week you're paying attention and a week you're not.

The video gap

Ocoya's marketing centres on AI copywriting, AI image generation, a design editor with templates, hashtag collections, and integrations. Reading the site and the pricing page in August 2026, we found no advertised AI video generation.

For Instagram and TikTok that's the whole ballgame. Both platforms distribute short-form video far more aggressively than stills, and an image-only posting habit on either is a decision to compete in the smaller lane.

PostOtter generates real 9:16 motion video four days a week on both platforms — with on-screen text pulled from the post, not a still image with a slow zoom on it. The other three days are on-brand images.

When Ocoya is clearly the right call

If you run a Shopify or WooCommerce store, Ocoya does something PostOtter has no answer for: it can generate and post content automatically when you add a new product. For a store with a moving catalogue that's a genuinely strong loop, and it's worth more than a few dollars of price difference.

Ocoya also reaches further. Bronze covers 5 social profiles against our 3 platforms, and higher tiers scale to 20 and 50 profiles with team seats — Silver at $39/month adds 5 workspaces and 5 users, Gold at $79/month adds 20 of each. If you need Facebook, LinkedIn, or Pinterest, or you're posting for clients, we don't compete there.

And if you actually like designing posts, Ocoya's editor and template library will feel like a tool and PostOtter will feel like it took the fun part away. That's a fair reaction. PostOtter is built for the opposite person.

Tools versus supply

Most small businesses that go quiet on social media are not blocked by the absence of a design editor. They're blocked by the fact that every post starts from zero — an idea, then copy, then a visual, then a caption per platform, then the posting itself. A workshop shortens each of those steps. It doesn't remove the need to walk into the workshop.

PostOtter's bet is that the walk is the problem. Your brand profile is built once, from your website, and after that the week assembles itself: the ideas, the captions written natively per platform, the images, the video, and the publishing at natural, human-looking times rather than on the hour.

You keep a veto. Every post lands as a draft first, so you can rewrite a line, swap an image, or skip it — but nothing waits on you to exist.

Comparing them for real

Neither product has a permanent free plan, so the trial is the comparison. Ocoya offers 7 days with full access; PostOtter's first week is free and needs no credit card.

Run both for a week and the difference shows up in a single question: at the end of it, how many posts actually published? With a workshop the answer depends on the hours you gave it. With an autopilot it doesn't.

If the answer for you is 'plenty, I enjoy this,' Ocoya at $15 with five profiles and a design editor is more tool for the money. If the answer is 'none, again,' that's what PostOtter is for.

Ocoya alternative FAQ

Is PostOtter cheaper than Ocoya?

They're effectively the same price at entry: PostOtter is $14.99/month and Ocoya's Bronze plan is $15/month. The difference isn't cost, it's what arrives — Bronze includes 100 AI credits and a design editor, PostOtter includes about 90 finished, published posts a month.

What are Ocoya credits used for?

Ocoya describes credits as a global usage unit spent across automation runs, AI text tools such as generation, translation and rephrasing, and AI media tools such as image generation and background removal. Bronze includes 100 a month, Silver 500, Gold 1,500.

Does Ocoya generate video?

Ocoya's site and pricing page advertise AI copywriting, AI image generation, a design editor, and integrations; as of August 2026 we found no AI short-form video generation listed. PostOtter generates real 9:16 video for Reels and TikTok four days a week.

Does PostOtter integrate with Shopify?

No. Ocoya connects to Shopify and WooCommerce and can post automatically when you add a product — PostOtter has no product-feed integration. If that loop is what you're after, Ocoya is the right tool.

How many social accounts does each cover?

Ocoya's Bronze plan covers 5 social profiles across its integrations, scaling to 20 on Silver and 50 on Gold. PostOtter covers Instagram, TikTok, and X for one brand on its single $14.99 plan.

Can I edit PostOtter's posts before they publish?

Yes. Every post lands as a draft in your dashboard first — rewrite the caption, swap the image, or skip it entirely. You can also upload up to ten of your own published posts under Post Style, and new visuals will match their colour, light, framing, and mood.

Which is better for an agency or multiple brands?

Ocoya. Its Silver, Gold, and Diamond tiers add workspaces and team seats — 5 workspaces at $39/month, 20 at $79/month. PostOtter is one plan for one brand with no multi-client management.
