◆ METRICOOL PRICING
Metricool bills by how many brands you manage rather than by seat or by channel. That makes it one of the cheapest ways to run several brands from one account, and it means the number that decides your bill is the brand count, not the tier name.
| Plan | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0forever | 1 brand, 20 posts a month, 30 days of analytics history, AI assistant. |
| Starter | $20per month, billed yearly | Up to 5 brands ($25 monthly). Unlimited posts under fair use, full analytics history, PDF and PPT reports, link in bio. 10 brands: $36 yearly, $45 monthly. |
| Advanced | $53per month, billed yearly | Up to 15 brands ($67 monthly). Adds customisable report templates and a Data Studio connector. 25 brands: $85 yearly; 50 brands: $159 yearly. |
| Custom | Quotecontact sales | For larger brand counts and custom needs. |

A brand in Metricool is one business or client and the social accounts that belong to it. Instead of paying for each connected channel, as on Buffer, or for each person who logs in, as on Hootsuite and Sprout Social, you choose a tier and a brand count, and that sets the price.
For a single business this is simple: one brand fits on the free plan or the bottom of Starter. The structure starts to matter once you manage several brands. Starter covers up to 5 brands for $20 a month billed yearly, and doubling to 10 brands costs $36, not $40. The per-brand cost keeps falling as the count rises, which is why the structure suits freelancers and small agencies.
Because users are not the billing unit, adding a colleague does not change the price the way it does on per-seat tools. The bill moves when you take on another brand.
For one small brand that posts a few times a week, it can be. The Metricool free plan covers 1 brand, 20 scheduled posts a month, 30 days of analytics history and the AI assistant, and it does not expire.
The limit you meet first is the 20 posts a month. Posting daily to Instagram alone is about 30 posts, so daily posting to even one platform outgrows it. Posting to two platforms three times a week each is 24 posts, which also goes over.
The second limit is the 30-day analytics history. Metricool's analytics are one of its strengths, and on the free plan you cannot compare this quarter with the last one. If reporting matters to you, Starter is the plan to price.
Starter is where most single businesses and small agencies land: up to 5 or 10 brands, unlimited posts under the fair use policy, full analytics history, PDF and PowerPoint reports, competitor analysis and multiple link-in-bio pages.
Metricool Advanced costs more than twice as much at its entry point, $53 against $20 billed yearly, and it buys two things: more brands (15, 25 or 50) and reporting features for people who deliver reports to clients, such as customisable report templates and a Data Studio connector.
So the honest test is short. If you manage more than 10 brands, or you send branded reports to clients every month, you need Advanced. If you do neither, Starter is almost certainly the right Metricool plan.
Using the annual prices: 1 brand can stay free. 5 brands is $20 a month, or $4 a brand. 10 brands is $36, or $3.60 a brand. 15 brands on Advanced is $53, about $3.53 a brand. 50 brands is $159, about $3.18 a brand.
Monthly billing raises each of those: $25 for 5 brands, $45 for 10, $67 for 15 and $210 for 50. If you are sure about Metricool, annual billing is a real saving; if you are still evaluating, the free plan is a cheaper way to test than a month of Starter.
Remember that the published prices exclude VAT. For buyers in the EU and the UK the amount on the invoice will be higher than the figure on the pricing page.
Two things sit outside the tier price. X (Twitter) analytics and inbox need a separate X add-on, and some advanced analytics features, such as unlimited campaign dashboards, need an Advanced Analytics add-on. The pricing page lists both without a price, so check the current cost inside the app before you commit.
The other cost is the one no social tool shows on its pricing page: making the content. Metricool plans, schedules and measures posts very well, and its AI assistant helps with captions. The photos and videos still come from you. For a business without a photographer or a video habit, that time is usually the largest cost of the whole setup, and it does not appear on any invoice.
For managing several brands with strong analytics, it is one of the best-value tools in the category. The per-brand price falls as you grow, the free plan is genuinely usable, and you get reporting that per-seat tools charge far more for.
It is a weaker fit if your problem is not measurement but supply. An account that goes quiet because nothing gets made will not be fixed by better analytics of the posts it did not publish.
A practical way to decide: count how many posts you published last month and how many you meant to. If the two numbers are close and you want to understand what is working, Metricool is money well spent, and the free plan lets you find out at no cost. If the gap is large, the constraint is making posts, and that is worth solving before you pay to measure them.
They solve different problems. Metricool is a scheduling and analytics tool for content you already have. PostOtter makes the content and publishes it.

◆ A CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE
Metricool is excellent value for scheduling and measuring content you already make, especially across several brands. If the queue keeps running dry, the missing piece is production. PostOtter writes the captions, generates on-brand images and real 9:16 video from your website, and publishes to Instagram, TikTok and X for $14.99 a month. You stay in control: edit anything it generates before it goes out, or use it as a plain scheduler for your own posts. Metricool still wins on analytics, reporting and multi-brand pricing.
◆ MADE BY POSTOTTER, FOR POSTOTTER
Same brand, three different posts. Instagram and TikTok share the render; the captions don't. Each one is written native to the platform it's on, and the hashtags are weighted the way that platform's discovery actually works. That is why Instagram gets ten and X gets two.
Here is the plain version of what PostOtter does. 1) You drop in your website URL. PostOtter reads it to learn your brand voice, what you sell, and how you talk. 2) You connect your accounts. Instagram, TikTok, and X. That is it.

That is not help. PostOtter learns your brand voice from your website, then creates, schedules, and publishes a post every day to X, Instagram, and TikTok.

You open a scheduler and it just stares back, waiting for a caption you don't have. So you post nothing. Again. PostOtter isn't a scheduler—it creates, schedules, and publishes daily to X/IG/TikTok (images + real Reels/TikTok video). Try it today.
#smallbusinessowner#PostOtterSee it on Xwe didn't lift a finger: no captions written, no hashtags picked, no content made, no times set, nothing published by hand
but every one of them was ours to change first: rewrite the caption, swap the hashtags, upload your own photo or video, move it to another day. and so is every post you get.
Starter starts at $20 a month billed yearly ($25 monthly) for up to 5 brands. Advanced starts at $53 a month billed yearly ($67 monthly) for up to 15 brands. There is also a permanent free plan for 1 brand. Prices exclude VAT.
Yes, for 1 brand. The free plan includes 20 posts a month, 30 days of analytics history and the AI assistant, and it does not expire.
No. Metricool prices by the number of brands you manage, not by users or individual channels.
Starter covers up to 5 or 10 brands with unlimited posts, full analytics history and reports. Advanced covers 15, 25 or 50 brands and adds customisable report templates and a Data Studio connector.
X analytics and inbox require a separate X add-on. Its price is not shown on the public pricing page, so check it in the app.
For several brands, Metricool is already one of the cheapest options. If you need the posts made rather than measured, PostOtter generates captions, images and video and publishes them to Instagram, TikTok and X for $14.99 a month per brand, with a free first week.
Yes. Some people let PostOtter generate and publish posts and keep Metricool for analytics. You can also use PostOtter as a plain scheduler for posts you made yourself.
